Zealand Pharma Announces The Appointment Of Rachel James-Owens As New Vice President Of Corporate Communications And Media Relations

Zealand Pharma A/S, a biotechnology company dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative peptide-based medicines, announced the appointment of Rachel James-Owens as Vice President, Corporate Communications & Media Relations. Rachel James-Owens brings with her more than two decades of international experience in the pharmaceutical sector, having worked in senior roles at both Pfizer and Novartis. Her expertise spans sales, commercial operations, and corporate as well as executive communications. 

Most recently, she served as Executive Director, Global Corporate Communications at Novartis Global Health & Sustainability, where she played a key role in shaping communications strategies at a global level. Prior to that, she led global executive oncology communications at Novartis and held a number of regional positions at Pfizer, further strengthening her profile as a communications leader in the industry.

She holds an MBA in Leadership, Culture & Coaching and has also completed the Corporate Affairs Leadership Academy at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Her extensive background and academic achievements are expected to support Zealand Pharma’s communication strategies as the company continues its focus on advancing peptide-based therapies.
