Acentra Health Appoints Michael Kingston As Chief Digital & Information Officer

Acentra Health, a technology and health solutions company that supports government and commercial organizations in improving healthcare outcomes, has announced the appointment of Michael Kingston as its new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO). The appointment marks a significant step in the company's efforts to strengthen its digital capabilities and expand the use of advanced technologies across its operations.


As Chief Digital & Information Officer, Kingston joins Acentra Health's Executive Leadership Team and will lead the company's newly established CDIO organization. This new leadership function has been created to accelerate Acentra Health's digital transformation strategy, expand its artificial intelligence capabilities, strengthen cybersecurity, and modernize the technology platforms that support its healthcare solutions.


Chief Executive Officer Todd Stottlemyer said the creation of the CDIO role reflects the company's continued investment in innovation and technology to better serve its clients and the communities they support. He noted that Kingston brings a unique combination of technology expertise, strategic leadership, and operational experience, making him well positioned to lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. According to Stottlemyer, Kingston's leadership will help the company enhance its technology capabilities, improve service delivery, and create greater value for clients.


In his new position, Kingston will oversee a broad portfolio of technology functions, including product development, artificial intelligence, data and analytics, information services, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity. His team will be responsible for executing Acentra Health's long-term technology and product strategy while leveraging AI, automation, and other emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, modernize healthcare solutions, and support scalable growth.


Commenting on his appointment, Kingston said he is excited to join Acentra Health during an important stage of its growth. He described the company as having a strong mission, a talented workforce, and a clear commitment to improving healthcare outcomes through innovation. He added that he looks forward to working with teams across the organization to strengthen its digital infrastructure, expand the use of artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies, and deliver scalable solutions that provide meaningful benefits for clients, patients, and communities.


Kingston is already familiar with Acentra Health's business through his previous work with The Carlyle Group. Since 2022, he has worked closely with the company's leadership team while serving as Managing Director and Chief Information Officer for The Americas within Carlyle's Global Portfolio Solutions division. During that time, he collaborated on several strategic initiatives aimed at supporting Acentra Health's growth and technology transformation.


Before joining Carlyle, Kingston held senior technology leadership positions at several globally recognized companies, including L'Oréal, Neiman Marcus, Coach, Ann Inc., and LVMH. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale digital transformation programs focused on developing scalable technology platforms, improving customer experiences, implementing data-driven automation, and modernizing enterprise technology systems. He began his professional career as a software developer at Castrol North America, building a strong technical foundation that has supported his leadership across multiple industries.


In addition to his executive experience, Kingston has remained actively involved in technology leadership and governance. He currently serves as a board member of Tribute Technology and previously served on the Advisory Board of World Leaders in Data & AI (WLDA). He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from William Paterson University in New Jersey.
