Achieve Life Sciences Strengthens Leadership Team With Two Senior Appointments As Cytisinicline Moves Closer To U.S. Commercial Launch

Achieve Life Sciences, Inc., a late-stage specialty pharmaceutical company developing cytisinicline as a treatment for nicotine dependence, has appointed Ronald Dadino as Senior Vice President of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) and Supply Chain, and Gloria Cosgrove as Senior Vice President of Quality. The appointments come as the company prepares to resubmit its New Drug Application (NDA) for cytisinicline and moves closer to a potential U.S. commercial launch.

With these appointments, Achieve is bringing its manufacturing, supply chain, and quality leadership functions in-house under experienced pharmaceutical executives. The company said the move will strengthen oversight of its manufacturing operations and quality systems while ensuring greater control as it advances toward commercialization. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Andrew Goldberg said both leaders have extensive experience guiding complex pharmaceutical products through global regulatory approvals and building the quality systems needed to support successful product launches.

Ronald Dadino brings more than 40 years of experience in pharmaceutical chemistry, manufacturing, technical operations, and supply chain management. He began his career as a research pharmacist at Merck before spending 13 years at Johnson & Johnson, where he served as Vice President of Development and Technical Operations. During his career, he has led the development and commercialization of complex therapies, including first-in-class products. At Achieve, he will oversee manufacturing, technical operations, and the complete cytisinicline supply chain, from raw materials to finished commercial products. Dadino said he looks forward to supporting the company's transition of finished product manufacturing to the United States while building a reliable and scalable supply network.

Gloria Cosgrove joins Achieve with more than three decades of experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology quality leadership. She spent 26 years in Global Quality Assurance at Boehringer Ingelheim before taking senior quality leadership roles at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and later at Seres Therapeutics. At Seres, she led quality efforts supporting the approval of VOWST, the first FDA-approved orally administered microbiome-based therapeutic. At Achieve, she will oversee quality across manufacturing, clinical development, and regulatory operations. Cosgrove said strong quality systems are essential to ensuring new medicines successfully reach patients and that she aims to maintain the same high standards across the company's smoking and vaping cessation programs.

The leadership changes also include the departure of Craig Donnelly, who stepped down as Chief Operations Officer effective July 31, 2026. His responsibilities for chemistry, manufacturing and controls, supply chain, and quality have been transferred to Dadino and Cosgrove as part of the company's organizational restructuring. Achieve thanked Donnelly for his contributions during his time with the company.

Cytisinicline is Achieve's lead investigational therapy for nicotine dependence and is being developed to help people quit both smoking and vaping. By strengthening its leadership team with experienced manufacturing and quality executives, the company aims to support the regulatory review process, prepare for large-scale commercial production, and position cytisinicline for a successful launch if it receives FDA approval.
