Allergan Aesthetics Showcases Global Study And Next-Gen AA Signature™ Framework, New Research Reveals Surge In Demand For Structured Multi-Treatment Aesthetic Plans

Allergan Aesthetics, a division of AbbVie, has unveiled new global consumer research showing a clear shift in how patients view and pursue medical aesthetic treatments. The company will present the updated evolution of its AA Signature™ framework at the upcoming Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) 2026 in Monaco, aligning its strategy with changing patient expectations and treatment behaviours.

The insights come from one of the largest international consumer studies in the aesthetics space, capturing responses from more than 12,000 beauty-engaged individuals across nine countries. The research highlights how consumers are navigating an increasingly wide range of aesthetic options and emphasizes the growing influence of practitioners in shaping treatment choices and long-term plans.

"Medical aesthetics is entering an exciting era, where patients are embracing a broader, more holistic perspective on their treatment journeys," remarked Mark Wilson, Senior Vice President, International, Allergan Aesthetics. "Our latest research offers compelling evidence of the shift in expectations – underscoring trends practitioners are already seeing in the clinic," Wilson continued. "Patients are not only increasingly willing to explore treatment combinations, but they are seeking greater clarity and truly bespoke plans to guide them towards authentic, natural-looking results over time."

The findings will be published in a new report titled Layered Beauty: The New Aesthetic Mindset. The report reveals a strong preference for combination treatments, with 62% of respondents expressing interest in multiple procedures and 59% indicating they are likely to follow a structured, multi-treatment pathway. Notably, 78% said they would feel more satisfied working with practitioners on a defined long-term aesthetic plan.

"At AMWC, our program provides a tangible demonstration of how Allergan Aesthetics has built a portfolio and education platform to help healthcare professionals deliver the results their patients' want. We continue to learn and evolve our proprietary multimodal approach, AA Signature™ through the introduction of elevated Signature Looks" Wilson continued. "Our proven portfolio is designed not only to perform individually, but to integrate seamlessly with one another and alongside other modalities. Through structured treatment frameworks, science and education, we're helping practitioners deliver personalised outcomes within holistic aesthetic treatment plans."

Marking one year since its introduction, AA Signature™ is expanding with refined aesthetic outcomes, broader indications, and stronger portfolio integration. Supporting this evolution, the research shows that improving skin quality is a top priority, 74% plan to enhance facial skin quality within a year, while 63% aim to improve elasticity and address ageing concerns. Building on this demand, Allergan Aesthetics is introducing AA Signature™ Skin360+, a skin-layer–focused approach designed to guide sequential treatment planning that combines injectables with energy-based technologies.
