Avantor Expands India Portfolio With Exclusive Parafilm M Distribution Deal

Avantor has announced that its India arm has been appointed the exclusive distributor of Parafilm M products from Amcor. This partnership will expand access to Parafilm M sealing and moisture-barrier solutions across laboratories, horticulture, and industrial applications throughout India.

Parafilm M is a flexible, wax-based sealing film widely used in laboratory environments due to its ability to stretch up to 200% and form a self-sealing barrier. It can easily wrap around irregular surfaces such as flasks, tubes, and plates, helping reduce evaporation, prevent contamination, and maintain controlled gas exchange. These features make it an essential tool for routine lab workflows, including sample protection, cell culture handling, and equipment safety.
