Berry Global has introduced a new range of clarified polypropylene (PP) bottles, ClariPPil™, designed for healthcare applications. These bottles provide superior sustainability and better product protection compared to traditional coloured PET pill bottles. Ideal for products such as vitamins, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, beauty supplements, and over-the-counter treatments, ClariPPil™ bottles have achieved RecyClass A certification for recyclability when paired with Berry’s PP closures in countries with the necessary recycling infrastructure.
Jessica Rodriguez, Sustainability Project Manager at Berry Global, emphasized the ClariPPil™ bottle’s potential to revolutionize healthcare packaging by combining a strong sustainability profile with excellent performance and quality. Available in green, light amber, and dark amber, the bottles can also be customized in other colours. Unlike coloured PET bottles, which can hinder recycling, the ClariPPil™ bottles are widely recyclable.
Berry’s innovative manufacturing technology for ClariPPil™ bottles also reduces carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by approximately 71% compared to traditional PET bottle production. Additionally, these bottles offer up to 84% improved moisture protection, ensuring product integrity.
Available in 100, 120, and 150cc sizes with a universal 38mm neck, ClariPPil™ bottles are compatible with a range of standard closures, including child-resistant options. The design allows for extensive branding opportunities with a large decoration area.
Ryan Maszton, Director of Sales at Berry Global, noted that ClariPPil™ bottles meet the demand for sustainable packaging without sacrificing functionality, aesthetics, or performance, while also supporting fast supply to help companies bring products to market quickly.
