Charles River Appoints Glenn Coleman As CFO And Kerry Dailey As Chief Legal Officer, Strengthens Leadership Team With New Appointments

Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. has announced two senior leadership appointments, naming Glenn G. Coleman as its next Chief Financial Officer and Kerry Dailey to the newly established role of Chief Legal Officer. These appointments are aimed at strengthening the company’s executive leadership team and supporting its long-term strategic objectives.

Glenn Coleman will join the organisation as Corporate Executive Vice President and CFO on April 6. He will oversee the global finance organisation, including accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, internal audit, risk management, procurement, and facilities. Coleman brings more than 30 years of financial and operational leadership experience, including senior roles in the healthcare sector. Most recently, he served as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer of a $1 billion healthcare services company. He previously held CFO roles at DENTSPLY SIRONA Inc. and Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corporation, where he also served as Chief Operating Officer. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Curtiss-Wright Corporation and Alcatel-Lucent and began his professional journey at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He will succeed Michael G. Knell, who has been serving as interim CFO since September 2025.

Kerry Dailey will assume the role of Corporate Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer on March 30. In this newly created position, she will lead the company’s global legal function and oversee compliance, corporate communications, government relations, security, and ESG initiatives. She will also serve as a strategic advisor to the Board of Directors and executive leadership team. Dailey brings 25 years of legal experience advising multinational life sciences companies across complex regulatory environments.

Dailey joins Charles River from Alcon, Inc., where she held multiple senior legal leadership roles, most recently as Vice President, Legal and Assistant Corporate Secretary. Prior to Alcon, she served as Senior Counsel at Merial, a Sanofi company, and earlier practised corporate and securities law at leading firms including Latham & Watkins, Mayer Brown, and Freshfields. To support a smooth transition, Matthew L. Daniel, the company’s current General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, will assist through July 1 before stepping down after a 20-year tenure marked by significant contributions to M&A activity and the development of legal compliance.
