Cipher Pharmaceuticals Appoints Dr. Hamed Ghanei As The New Chief Business Officer

Cipher Pharmaceuticals Inc. has announced the appointment of Dr. Hamed Ghanei as Chief Business Officer (CBO). Dr Ghanei brings over 15 years of experience in venture funds, healthcare investment banking and speciality pharmaceuticals. He has evaluated more than 500 licensing and M&A opportunities and played a lead role in five product launches. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Ghanei has successfully negotiated over 20 transactions with a combined value exceeding $1 billion. His academic excellence includes a B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo, an M.Sc. in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Guelph, and a Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto.
