The amount of each formulation that remained attached to the tissue was measured over a 30-minute period, allowing researchers to compare their retention profiles.
The results showed that Clearmind's intranasal MEAI formulation consistently retained a greater proportion of the applied dose throughout the entire testing period compared with the standard MEAI solution. The improved performance is attributed to the formulation's mucoadhesive polymer system, which helps the drug remain attached to the nasal mucosa for a longer duration. These findings further validate the company's proprietary nasal drug-delivery platform, which is designed to improve drug retention and enhance overall delivery efficiency.
