Cognizant announced a strategic alliance with Palantir Technologies to accelerate AI-led modernisation across healthcare and enterprise operations. Through the partnership, Cognizant will integrate Palantir Foundry and Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) into its TriZetto healthcare business while also pursuing broader AI transformation projects for clients across multiple industries.
The collaboration supports Cognizant’s “AI builder” strategy, which develops enterprise-grade solutions that translate artificial intelligence into measurable business outcomes. By combining advanced AI platforms with deep industry knowledge and strong governance frameworks, Cognizant intends to modernise its own services and help clients navigate complex, regulated environments responsibly and securely.
"This partnership reflects our commitment to using frontier technologies to deliver value for our clients, while also transforming our own businesses for the next era of AI-led growth," said Surya Gummadi, President, Americas, Cognizant. "By combining Palantir's AI platform capabilities with Cognizant's deep industry expertise and global engineering scale, we are strengthening our ability to modernise mission-critical platforms like TriZetto while creating new opportunities to build purpose-driven, enterprise-grade solutions that help clients transform how they operate and deliver the experiences and outcomes their customers expect."
A key focus will be applying Palantir’s AIP to optimise workflows across TriZetto’s healthcare platforms and BPaaS operations, particularly in labour-intensive and highly regulated settings. The companies aim to create a secure, scalable foundation for AI-enabled innovation that accelerates product development while ensuring compliance, auditability, and strong operational controls.
"Enterprise AI doesn't fail because models are weak. It fails when AI lacks a shared, governed understanding of how the business actually operates – something only the Ontology can provide," said Eric Lakin, US Commercial Lead at Palantir. "That's why we're excited to partner with Cognizant and bring AIP to TriZetto, embedding AI into core workflows to transform enterprises from the ground up."
Beyond healthcare, Cognizant and Palantir plan to expand their collaboration into other enterprise sectors. Palantir’s expertise in deploying AI in mission-critical environments and ontology-driven systems will be paired with Cognizant’s global delivery network, reinforcing both firms’ ambitions to scale governed, real-world AI solutions for clients worldwide.
