Conceivable Life Sciences, the company behind AURA, the world's first automation-assisted IVF laboratory, has announced the appointment of two senior executives as it prepares for its commercial launch in the United States. Julie O'Shaughnessy has been named President, while Vincent Payet has joined as Senior Vice President of U.S. Deployment and Partner Success. The appointments come ahead of the company's U.S. rollout in partnership with IVI RMA Global, one of the world's largest fertility care organizations, and support Conceivable's plans to expand access to fertility treatment, lower costs, and improve patient outcomes.
Julie O'Shaughnessy brings extensive experience in scaling technology and biotechnology businesses. Before joining Conceivable, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Vivodyne, where she helped develop an advanced drug discovery platform that combined biology, automation, and artificial intelligence. Earlier in her career, she held a senior leadership position at a leading biomanufacturing company, where she played a key role in growing the business from a startup into an organization with more than 2,000 employees and a capitalized value of approximately $2.5 billion. At Conceivable, she will lead the company's U.S. commercial launch while overseeing its long-term global expansion strategy.
Vincent Payet joins the company after spending 13 years at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Ferring North Latin America. He holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and will be responsible for leading the deployment of Conceivable's technology across clinical sites while strengthening relationships with commercial partners as the company expands internationally. His scientific expertise and leadership experience are expected to support the successful adoption of AURA across fertility clinics.
Commenting on the appointments, Alan Murray, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Conceivable Life Sciences, said the company developed AURA to standardize IVF laboratory processes and that achieving this goal on a large scale requires experienced leaders with strong operational and clinical partnership expertise. He noted that both O'Shaughnessy and Payet have successfully transformed advanced scientific innovations into reliable, repeatable solutions in their previous roles and will play a crucial role in bringing the company's technology to healthcare providers worldwide. Alejandro Chavez-Badiola, MD, Co-Founder and Chief Medical and Innovation Officer, added that every patient should receive the same high standard of care regardless of the laboratory or staff involved. He said AURA makes this technically possible, while the new leadership team will help ensure consistent operational execution as the company prepares for its partnership with IVI RMA Global.
The leadership appointments follow Conceivable's recently announced collaboration with IVI RMA Global to introduce AURA across the United States. The automation-assisted platform is designed to improve the IVF laboratory by reducing the reliance on hundreds of manual, operator-dependent procedures while allowing embryologists to oversee every stage of the process. By increasing precision and consistency throughout the IVF workflow, AURA aims to deliver more reliable embryology results and improve fertility treatment outcomes.
In addition to improving laboratory processes, AURA is designed to continuously enhance its performance through a proprietary data system that learns from every treatment cycle. This ongoing data collection is intended to refine workflows and support better clinical outcomes over time. As the first major fertility network to implement Conceivable's technology, IVI RMA Global is expected to play an important role in advancing more precise, consistent, and scalable fertility care for patients around the world.
