As Cosette Pharmaceuticals scales a 21-brand specialty portfolio and continues integrating acquired assets, the Bridgewater, N.J.-based company has appointed David Bell as Chief Commercial Officer (Brands), a structural move that signals accelerating demand on manufacturing planning, supply alignment, and commercial-operations coordination.
Bell assumes oversight of all branded commercial functions, including sales, marketing, market access, commercial operations, analytics, and portfolio strategy. For plant heads and supply-chain leads, the appointment carries a direct operational read: commercial strategy and portfolio integration at this scale require tighter upstream alignment between demand forecasting, batch scheduling, and asset onboarding timelines. Bell will carry P&L accountability across the full marketed portfolio, a scope that typically drives sharper requirements around launch readiness and inventory positioning for newly acquired brands.
Bell brings more than 25 years of commercial and enterprise leadership across oncology, rare disease, and gene therapy. Most recently, he served as Vice President, U.S. Oncology and Head of Oncology at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, where he held full U.S. P&L ownership. Prior roles include Franchise General Manager at Melinta Therapeutics and 17 years at Merck & Co./Schering-Plough across global, U.S., and regional commercial leadership positions.
President and CEO Apurva Saraf cited Bell's depth in market access, portfolio management, and P&L leadership as directly relevant to Cosette's next growth phase. The company, backed by Avista Healthcare Partners and funds managed by Hamilton Lane, has built its growth model around strategic asset acquisition and best-in-class commercial execution, a model that places recurring integration demands on quality systems and supply infrastructure as new brands enter the portfolio.
Bell's mandate to support integration and growth of acquired assets will serve as a measurable indicator of how effectively Cosette's commercial and operational functions converge around each new addition to the branded portfolio.
