Dec Group will present a portfolio of innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies at CPHI Worldwide 2026, taking place from 6 to 8 October in Milan, Italy. Visitors to Booth 9D66 will have the opportunity to discover three flagship solutions designed to improve efficiency, flexibility and product quality across pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical production: the Rheofreed® continuous freeze-drying system, the DecFill® XP aseptic filling platform, and a new single-use bioreactor featuring an integrated dispensing solution. Live demonstrations of Dec’s renowned PTS Powder Transfer System® will also be featured throughout the exhibition.
Accelerating Freeze-Drying Performance
At the center of the presentation is Rheofreed®, Dec’s innovative approach to lyophilization. Unlike conventional tray-based freeze dryers, the system combines spray freezing and drying within a single conical vessel, eliminating the need for manual tray handling and significantly simplifying operations.
Using an ultrasonic nozzle and controlled mixing technology, Rheofreed® transforms liquid formulations into frozen powder before completing the drying process in the same unit. The result is a substantial reduction in processing times, improved solvent removal, and preservation of product integrity. Successfully developed for demanding pharmaceutical applications, the GMP-compliant platform enables straightforward scale-up from research and development to commercial manufacturing.
Advancing Aseptic Fill-Finish Operations
Dec will also highlight DecFill® XP, a next-generation aseptic filling solution designed around an innovative levitating transport concept. The platform allows pre-sterilized containers to move through the filling process without conventional mechanical conveying systems, creating a streamlined and highly efficient production sequence.
Its compact design helps manufacturers reduce facility footprint and operational complexity while maintaining full compliance with current regulatory requirements. Suitable for a broad range of applications, including biologics, cell and gene therapies, radiopharmaceuticals, diagnostics and personalized medicines, DecFill® XP offers a modern response to the growing demand for flexible, small-batch aseptic production.
A New Generation of Single-Use Bioreactors
Supporting the evolving needs of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, Dec will introduce a new single-use bioreactor equipped with integrated dispensing capabilities. Designed to maximize flexibility and prevent contamination risks, the system features disposable product-contact components that eliminate cleaning requirements between batches.
This approach reduces downtime, accelerates product changeovers, and removes the need for cleaning validation of the fluid path, enabling manufacturers to increase productivity while maintaining the highest standards of process security. The technology is equally suited for clinical development programs and commercial-scale production environments.
Live Powder Handling Demonstrations
Visitors will also be able to experience Dec’s PTS Powder Transfer System® in operation. Recognized worldwide for its contained and hygienic transfer capabilities, PTS uses a combination of vacuum and pressure to transport powders and granules safely and efficiently, including materials with challenging flow characteristics.
By integrating powder handling and filling technologies on the stand, Dec will demonstrate how manufacturers can achieve higher levels of containment, process reliability and operational efficiency across the entire production chain.
Companies interested in learning more about these innovations are invited to visit Booth 9D66 during CPHI Milan 2026 and meet with Dec’s process experts to discuss their manufacturing challenges and future projects.
