Dogwood Therapeutics Secures $5 Million from CK Life Sciences to Fund Halneuron Phase 3 Preparation
Dogwood Therapeutics raises $5M from CK Life Sciences to fund Halneuron Phase 3 prep ahead of November 2026 Phase 2b data.

With topline Phase 2b data for Halneuron® expected in November 2026, Dogwood Therapeutics has secured $5 million from its largest shareholder to begin Phase 3 preparatory work before that readout lands. The timing compresses the window between proof-of-concept and pivotal program design, a sequence that carries direct implications for CMC planning and subcutaneous formulation scale-up.
The capital comes through a securities subscription agreement with a subsidiary of CK Life Sciences Int'l., (Holdings) Inc. (CKLS), priced at $1.22 per share for 4,098,360 shares of common stock. No warrants or derivative securities are attached. The placement is expected to close on or before October 29, 2026, and extends Dogwood's operational runway through March 2027.
Proceeds are designated for Phase 3 preparatory activities and general working capital. For manufacturing and supply chain teams, the relevant signal is the subcutaneous delivery format: HAL-CINP participants received eight subcutaneous doses over a 14-day period, a regimen that will require defined process validation and sterility assurance protocols before any Phase 3 IND amendment or comparability package can be filed. The formulation's route of administration places it squarely within the parenteral manufacturing requirements of 21 CFR Part 211 and ICH Q10 quality system expectations at scale.
The underlying Phase 2b trial (NCT06848348) is a randomized, placebo-controlled study enrolling 239 patients with moderate to severe neuropathic pain following platinum- and/or taxane-based chemotherapy, conducted across approximately 25 U.S. sites. The primary endpoint measures change from baseline to week four in daily 24-hour recall pain intensity scores, with secondary endpoints covering sleep, fatigue, neuropathy symptoms, and overall patient health.
Dogwood's CEO Greg Duncan indicated the company expects to finalize a pivotal Phase 3 program design for Halneuron® in CINP by March 2027, the same month the current runway expires, leaving little margin for delays in either the data readout or the subsequent regulatory and manufacturing alignment work.
The Phase 3 program design finalization by March 2027 will be the measurable checkpoint that determines how quickly CMC and supply chain teams must mobilize around subcutaneous batch manufacturing and comparability requirements.
