Essential Pharma, a global company focused on medicines for niche and rare disease populations, has appointed Duncan Ferguson as Vice President, Commercial. Duncan will join the company where he will lead the commercial strategy across sales, marketing, product promotion, market access, and key customer and distribution relationships. With over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Duncan has a strong background in commercial strategy, market expansion, and business development.

He most recently served as Head of Partner Markets at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, overseeing strategic partnerships. Previously, he was General Manager for European Regional Markets at Jazz, where he launched an FDA and EMA-approved rare disease medicine. Duncan has also held senior roles at Aspen Pharma and LEO Pharma and started his career at Abbott Laboratories. Duncan’s expertise will support Essential Pharma’s continued growth and success in delivering medicines for underserved patient populations.
