Beginning in 1994, he organised annual brain health summits convening neurologists and professional athletes to address traumatic brain injury risks, work that contributed to broader concussion awareness in competitive sport. He recently established the Leigh Steinberg Foundation to fund research and promote prevention and treatment of neurological injury. For a company whose commercial and partnership strategy will increasingly depend on cross-sector alliances, the board addition reflects a deliberate effort to extend influence beyond conventional biotech networks.

FibroBiologics holds a portfolio of 270-plus issued and pending patents centred on fibroblast cell therapy and fibroblast-derived materials.
