Idorsia Partners With Jamjoom Pharma to Commercialize QUVIVIQ In Saudi Arabia and Levant Expands Global Reach

Idorsia Ltd has entered into an exclusive agreement with Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals Factory Co. (Jamjoom Pharma) to distribute and commercialize QUVIVIQ™ (daridorexant) for adults with insomnia in Saudi Arabia and the Levant region. Under the agreement, Idorsia will receive an upfront payment, as well as potential additional payments, including royalties based on net sales.

Jamjoom Pharma will hold the marketing authorization for QUVIVIQ in Saudi Arabia and will oversee regulatory activities, distribution, promotion, and commercialization across Saudi Arabia and the Levant. Idorsia will remain responsible for supplying the finished drug product to the agreed markets, expanding the regional availability of its insomnia treatment.

Benjamin Limal, President of Europe & International Markets for Idorsia, commented, “We are delighted to partner with Jamjoom Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical company in Saudi Arabia and the Levant region. With Jamjoom’s strong market presence, deep regulatory expertise, and well-established commercial infrastructure, Jamjoom Pharma is ideally positioned to support the successful launch and broad access of our innovative insomnia treatment. As we continue to execute our international growth strategy for QUVIVIQ, partnerships such as this are instrumental in expanding commercialization across new geographies and maximizing patient access globally.”

QUVIVIQ is a dual orexin receptor antagonist that takes a different approach to treating insomnia compared with traditional hypnotic medicines. By selectively targeting the orexin system, which plays a key role in regulating wakefulness, the treatment is designed to reduce excessive wake signaling while supporting sleep throughout the night. Clinical studies published in The Lancet Neurology found that daridorexant improved sleep onset, sleep maintenance, and self-reported total sleep time at 25 mg and 50 mg doses compared with placebo. The 50 mg dose also showed significant improvements in daytime functioning.

Tarek Hosni, CEO of Jamjoom Pharma, commented, "We are proud to partner with Idorsia to bring QUVIVIQ to patients across Saudi Arabia and the Levant. This collaboration aligns with our commitment to expanding access to innovative, high-quality therapies in areas of significant unmet medical need. Leveraging our extensive commercial and market access capabilities, as well as our strong regional footprint, we look forward to supporting the successful introduction of QUVIVIQ and improving the lives of patients suffering from insomnia."

The partnership with Jamjoom Pharma adds to Idorsia's growing global commercial network for QUVIVIQ. The treatment is already marketed by Idorsia in North America and Europe and is available in selected markets across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East through commercial partnerships. Idorsia also has a licensing and supply agreement covering Latin America, with the latest collaboration further supporting its strategy to establish QUVIVIQ as a global insomnia treatment.
