ImageneBio Appoints Matt Robbins As General Counsel To Support Next Phase Of Clinical Growth

ImageneBio, Inc. has appointed Matt Robbins as its new General Counsel, effective July 7, 2026, as the clinical-stage biotechnology company continues to advance its lead drug candidate, IMG-007. In his new role, Robbins will oversee the company's legal, corporate governance, intellectual property, and compliance functions while providing strategic legal guidance as Imagene expands its clinical development programs.

Robbins brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate law, securities, and business transactions within the life sciences sector. Most recently, he served as General Counsel at Bright Peak Therapeutics, where he established the company's legal function from the ground up. Prior to that, he spent nearly nine years at Cooley LLP, advising both public and private biotechnology companies on corporate, securities, and transactional matters. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Commenting on the appointment, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kristin Yarema said Robbins' experience in building legal operations within a clinical-stage biotechnology company and advising life sciences organizations through public offerings and complex transactions makes him a valuable addition to the leadership team. She noted that the company is entering a new phase of growth as it advances its Phase II clinical programs for atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata, while approaching its first anniversary with several important milestones and clinical data readouts expected in the coming months.

In his new position, Robbins will play a key role in supporting ImageneBio's strategic priorities as the company continues to expand its operations and progress the development of IMG-007. His appointment is expected to strengthen the company's legal and governance capabilities during an important period of clinical and organizational growth.

Robbins holds a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also admitted to the California State Bar and brings extensive experience advising life sciences companies on legal, regulatory, and corporate matters.
