"Haarega Dengue, Haraenge Hum" is the name of a
dengue preventive program that has been introduced throughout India by Takeda
Biopharmaceuticals India and the United States Agency for International
Development (USAID). The program is to encourage individuals to adopt
behaviours that might lessen the spread of vector-borne diseases and to teach
schools and communities in Maharashtra, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh about how
their actions can help avoid dengue.
The campaign will also look at how infectious disease
transmission is impacted by climate change and offer solutions for enhancing
readiness and fortifying health systems. General manager of Takeda
Biopharmaceuticals India, Annapurna Das, stated that in order to safeguard
communities against the effects of vector-borne illnesses, climate change
initiatives must be accelerated by all sectors acting boldly and together. The
project is in line with Takeda's mission to improve everyone's health and
future prospects.
