InspireMD Appoints Kathleen Kennedy As Senior VP Of Global Sales And Marketing Ahead Of Planned U.S. CGuard Launch

InspireMD, Inc., a medical device company developing the CGuard® Prime carotid stent system for stroke prevention, has appointed Kathleen Kennedy as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. She will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Marvin Slosman and will lead the company's global commercial strategy as InspireMD prepares for the planned U.S. commercialization of its CGuard platform.

Kennedy brings more than 30 years of experience in medical device sales and commercial leadership, with extensive expertise in carotid intervention and carotid stenting. She previously played a key role in supporting the U.S. launch of CGuard Prime by leading regional sales efforts and returns to InspireMD with well-established relationships across the vascular, neurovascular, and cardiovascular physician communities. She also has significant experience working with hospitals and health systems that are expected to play an important role in expanding the adoption of carotid therapies.

Marvin Slosman, Chief Executive Officer of InspireMD, said Kennedy's appointment reflects the company's continued focus on strengthening its commercial leadership ahead of the anticipated U.S. approval and relaunch of the CGuard platform. He added that her deep knowledge of carotid intervention, strong commercial track record, and established industry relationships will be valuable as the company prepares to commercialize both the CGuard platform and the CGuard Prime 80 cm system for transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) procedures.

Commenting on her appointment, Kennedy said she has seen firsthand the benefits of the CGuard platform and its proprietary MicroNet mesh technology in improving patient care. She noted that the strong clinical evidence supporting the device, along with the significant growth opportunity in the U.S. carotid intervention market, made her decision to return to InspireMD an easy one. She added that she looks forward to working with the company's commercial team, physicians, and hospital partners to expand patient access to the technology.

Throughout her career, Kennedy has held senior commercial leadership positions across the cardiovascular, vascular, and neurovascular medical device sectors, with expertise in physician engagement, market development, and sales execution. Before rejoining InspireMD, she served as Vice President of Sales for North America at Omniscient Neurotechnology. She has also held leadership roles as Sales Director at InspireMD, Senior Area Director at Silk Road Medical, and Chief Commercial Officer at CAE Healthcare, now known as Elevate Healthcare.

Earlier in her career, Kennedy held commercial positions of increasing responsibility at several leading healthcare companies, including Cordis, Biomet, Guidant Corporation, now part of Boston Scientific, and AngioDynamics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies from Northern Illinois University.
