New XT Platform by iotaSciences Boosts Single-Cell Cloning Efficiency
iotaSciences debuts Single-Cell Cloning XT, a platform enhancing automation and documentation for cell culture work.
iotaSciences has announced the launch of its new Single-Cell Cloning Platform XT at the Cell 2024 event in London. This latest model, building on the company’s previous technology, incorporates advanced features designed to enhance automation. The platform supports every step from isolating single cells to transferring cultures to 96-well plates, with higher throughput and efficiency. A new technology, SCAI, enables automatic cell identification, creating a report verifying monoclonal cultures.
The company noted that the updated platform’s versatility makes it especially useful for work in cell line development and gene editing. Chief Product Officer Dr. Alexander Feuerborn emphasized the value of delivering high-quality monoclonal cultures to meet client needs, with the added benefit of documentation for each culture’s lineage.
CEO Dr. Michael Lutz remarked that this new system positions iotaSciences at the forefront of single-cell biology solutions, addressing demands in cell and gene therapy (CGT) research. He also highlighted the platform’s potential to drive growth, as single-cell handling technology has a substantial future market in biomedical research.
