Kakao Healthcare's research alliance, launched in August
last year, aims to revolutionize global healthcare research through
cutting-edge technologies like big data and AI. The network, now expanded to
include prominent institutions such as Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital,
Korea University Medicine, Samsung Medical Center, Yonsei University Medical
System, Ewha Womans University Medical Center, Chonnam National University
Hospital, and Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital, is set to enhance research
diversity and reduce healthcare disparities regionally.
According to Kakao Healthcare, these leading hospitals will
play a crucial role in advancing research. The company emphasized its
significant contribution as a technology partner, supporting research
innovation and precision medicine through its sophisticated medical data
analysis platform. This platform features data standardization, artificial
intelligence, machine learning, federated learning, and large language models
for natural language processing.
In addition to these efforts, Kakao Healthcare is actively
engaging in real-world evidence (RWE) research contracts with global
pharmaceutical companies and pursuing various projects. The research alliance
operates on the principle of open innovation, welcoming any hospital willing to
join. It guarantees autonomy and independence in all collaborative research,
whether conducted within hospitals, between hospitals, or in partnership with
corporations.
