Kenan Thompson, the beloved comedian and longest-running cast member of Saturday Night Live, is taking on a new role—raising awareness for GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Partnering with Phathom Pharmaceuticals, Thompson is sharing his personal journey with persistent heartburn through the GERD IS NO JOKE campaign. After struggling with discomfort that affected his diet, sleep, and even voice, Thompson found relief with VOQUEZNA® (vonoprazan), the first and only treatment of its kind approved by the FDA. Through humor and candid storytelling, he hopes to encourage others to talk to their doctors about effective treatment options.
As part of the campaign, Thompson is bringing his signature wit to a "Kick Some Acid Cooking Show," a lighthearted take on his GERD experience.
