Karyopharm Welcomes Lori Macomber As Chief Financial Officer
Karyopharm appoints Lori Macomber as EVP, CFO, and Treasurer to strengthen financial strategy and pipeline growth.


Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. is a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in innovative cancer treatments. The firm has announced the appointment of Lori Macomber as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer, effective January 3, 2025. In her new role, Ms. Macomber will oversee the company’s financial operations and strategic initiatives.

She brings extensive experience in strategic financial management and operations, which will be critical as we execute on our strategy to grow XPOVIO revenue and maintain our disciplined expense management as we progress our clinical pipeline,” said Richard Paulson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Karyopharm.
With more than 20 years of experience in driving financial growth and strategy within the life sciences sector, Ms. Macomber brings an impressive background in managing financial operations for companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations. Her expertise includes navigating complex collaborations, supporting business development efforts, and managing licensing agreements.

Before joining Karyopharm, Ms. Macomber served as CFO of Legend Biotech Corporation, a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company. Her career also includes leadership positions at Ametek PDS, Cello Health, Eli Lilly and Company, and Pfizer (formerly Pharmacia). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
