Medicus Pharma Elevates President Carolyn Bonner To Chief Financial Officer To Strengthen Strategic And Financial Leadership

Medicus Pharma Ltd. has announced that President Carolyn Bonner has formally been appointed Chief Financial Officer, a role she had been fulfilling in an acting capacity since September 2025. Her appointment ensures continuity following the resignation of former CFO Jim Quinlan, who stepped down for health-related reasons. Bonner will now oversee both strategic and financial leadership at the biotechnology company as it advances its clinical development programs.

Carolyn has been providing strong financial leadership since stepping in as acting CFO in September,” stated Dr. Raza Bokhari, Medicus’ Executive Chairman & CEO. “Her appointment as CFO, in addition to President, enhances continuity, ensures stability and brings further alignment in our corporate objectives. These combined responsibilities also bring operational and financial integration under a single leader as Medicus advances its clinical development programs and expands its clinical pipeline.”

Bringing nearly two decades of healthcare and life sciences experience, Bonner has built her career across executive leadership, corporate development, and operational management. Her background spans both the diagnostics and laboratory sectors, grounding her in the commercial and scientific aspects of the industry.

Before joining Medicus, she served as President and CEO of PCL, Inc., a CAP-accredited specialty laboratory with operations in the U.S. and UAE. Prior to that, she held key business development positions at Rosetta Genomics and Inform Diagnostics, where she began her career in 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Bokhari also extended his gratitude to departing CFO Jim Quinlan on behalf of the Medicus Board and the entire Medicus team for his role as a co-founder of the Company, stating, “Jim was mission-critical in our reverse takeover of Skinject, Inc., as well as the Company’s initial public offering in the U.S. and listing on Nasdaq in November 2024.”

In her expanded role as President and CFO, Bonner will oversee financial reporting, controls, capital markets strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury operations. She will continue to lead strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives, supporting Medicus’ clinical and corporate development programs.
