Mobia Medical Appoints Medical Technology Veteran Reza Zadno To Its Board Of Directors

Mobia Medical, Inc., a commercial-stage medical device company focused on improving stroke recovery for patients with long-term motor impairments, has announced the appointment of Reza Zadno, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors as an independent director. The appointment became effective on July 14, 2026. Dr. Zadno will also serve as a member of the company's Compensation Committee.

The company said Dr. Zadno's appointment strengthens its Board with an experienced medical technology executive who has successfully led multiple public companies through periods of commercial growth and expansion. His expertise in scaling healthcare businesses, corporate governance, and strategic leadership is expected to support Mobia Medical as it continues to expand the adoption of its Vivistim® Therapy.

Richard Foust, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mobia Medical, welcomed Dr. Zadno to the Board and said his extensive experience in building and growing public medical technology companies makes him a valuable addition. Foust noted that Dr. Zadno's operational leadership and governance experience will complement the existing Board as the company advances its commercial strategy.

Dr. Zadno brings more than 35 years of experience in the medical technology industry, with a strong track record of leading commercial-stage companies through initial public offerings (IPOs) and subsequent growth. Most recently, he served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors at PROCEPT BioRobotics from February 2020 to September 2025. During his tenure, he led the company through its successful 2021 IPO and oversaw a period of significant commercial expansion in the surgical robotics market.

Before joining PROCEPT BioRobotics, Dr. Zadno served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Avedro, a publicly traded ophthalmology company, from September 2016 until its acquisition by Glaukos in November 2020. Earlier in his career, he also held several board positions with publicly listed healthcare companies.

From January 2013 to June 2017, Dr. Zadno served on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Invuity, Inc., a medical device company that was later acquired by Stryker. He also served on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Carbylan Therapeutics from June 2013 through November 2016 before the company's merger with KalVista Pharmaceuticals. These leadership roles have provided him with extensive experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, financial oversight, and business growth.

Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Zadno said he is pleased to join the Mobia Medical Board during an important phase of the company's commercial expansion. He described Vivistim® Therapy as a differentiated technology that has the potential to make a meaningful difference in the lives of stroke survivors living with long-term disabilities. He added that he strongly supports the company's mission and looks forward to working with the Board and management team to help expand access to the therapy for patients around the world.

In addition to his board responsibilities, Dr. Zadno currently serves as an Operating Partner at Jolt Capital, a private equity firm focused on investing in growth-stage technology companies. He also serves as a Special Advisor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He earned both his Ph.D. and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Properties of Materials (Metallurgy) from École Nationale Supérieure de Mines de Paris.

With Dr. Zadno joining its Board of Directors, Mobia Medical aims to strengthen its leadership as it continues executing its commercial growth strategy and expanding the global reach of its stroke rehabilitation technology.
