Quotient Therapeutics Names Susan Keefe As New CFO, Bringing 30 Years Of Life Science Finance And Recent Experience As Acting CFO Via Flagship Pioneering

Quotient Therapeutics, a company developing breakthrough medicines through its expertise in somatic genomics, announced that it has appointed Susan Keefe as its new Chief Financial Officer. Keefe brings three decades of experience in finance, accounting, and operations within the life sciences industry. She has already been serving as the company’s acting CFO through her role at Flagship Pioneering, Quotient’s founding company.


Rahul Kakkar, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quotient Therapeutics, said that Keefe brings a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational discipline, and experience guiding both public and private life science companies. He noted that her leadership will support Quotient as it continues to use somatic genomics to advance both its internal drug development programs and its partnerships.


In her remarks, Keefe highlighted the transformative potential of somatic genomics in revealing new biological insights that can lead to innovative therapies for many diseases. She said she looks forward to helping build a strong financial and operational framework that will support Quotient’s long-term growth and overall value creation.


Before working with Flagship Pioneering, Keefe served as Interim CFO at Benson Hill. Prior to that, she was the Chief Financial Officer of GreenLight Biosciences, where she led the financial strategy for a company developing RNA-based technologies for applications across agriculture and human health. Earlier in her career, she held finance and administrative leadership roles at Danforth Advisors and Aushon Biosystems. 


She also gained foundational financial experience at SeraCare Life Sciences, Procter & Gamble, and PwC. Keefe holds an MBA in strategic management, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, along with a BBA in accounting from the University of Iowa.
