RadioMedix, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing targeted radiopharmaceuticals for cancer diagnosis, disease monitoring, and treatment, has announced the appointment of Brian A. Markison to its Board of Directors. The appointment became effective on July 1, 2026, and marks another step in strengthening the company's leadership as it continues to expand its radiopharmaceutical pipeline and manufacturing capabilities.
Brian Markison joins the Board as the company's second independent director and brings more than 40 years of leadership experience across the pharmaceutical and radiopharmaceutical industries. His expertise spans commercial strategy, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, business development, and the successful growth of several healthcare companies.
Ebrahim S. Delpassand, M.D., Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RadioMedix, welcomed Markison to the Board and said his extensive industry experience will be highly valuable as the company enters its next phase of growth. He noted that Markison has played a significant role in building and expanding leading radiopharmaceutical businesses throughout his career. According to Delpassand, his knowledge of oncology, diagnostic imaging, commercial operations, and corporate strategy will help support RadioMedix as it advances its cancer theranostic pipeline while expanding its manufacturing infrastructure.
Commenting on his appointment, Brian Markison said he has witnessed the rapid evolution of the radiopharmaceutical industry throughout his career and believes RadioMedix has become one of the companies helping drive innovation in the field. He added that he is honored to join the Board of Directors and looks forward to working with the leadership team as the company continues to grow its development pipeline and manufacturing capabilities with the goal of improving how cancer is diagnosed and treated.
Markison previously served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Lantheus Holdings, where he led one of the industry's leading radiopharmaceutical companies. Earlier in his career, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RVL Pharmaceuticals plc, formerly known as Osmotica Pharmaceuticals.
He also held the positions of President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Member at Fougera Pharmaceuticals, where he successfully guided the company through its strategic acquisition by Sandoz Ltd., the generic medicines division of Novartis AG. Before that, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of King Pharmaceuticals, leading the company through a period of portfolio transformation before its acquisition by Pfizer Inc.
Markison began his pharmaceutical career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he spent 22 years in a variety of senior leadership positions. During his tenure, he gained broad experience across multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, virology, neuroscience, infectious diseases, and dermatology. He also held leadership responsibilities in licensing, business development, and mergers and acquisitions, contributing to the company's strategic growth initiatives.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iona College. With his appointment to the Board of Directors, RadioMedix expects to further strengthen its strategic leadership as it continues advancing innovative radiopharmaceutical technologies and expanding its capabilities to develop and manufacture next-generation cancer theranostic therapies.
