Relmada Therapeutics Appoints Biopharma Veteran Bipin Dalmia As Chief Business Officer

Relmada Therapeutics, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing innovative treatments for oncology and central nervous system disorders, has appointed Bipin Dalmia, PhD, MBA, as its new Chief Business Officer. In his new role, Dalmia will oversee the company's corporate strategy, commercial planning, and business development activities while reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Sergio Traversa.

Dalmia brings nearly 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with expertise in corporate strategy, business development, and the treatment landscape for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). His appointment comes at a key stage for Relmada as the company advances NDV-01, its investigational sustained-release intravesical therapy for patients with NMIBC. The company believes his leadership will strengthen its commercial and strategic capabilities as NDV-01 progresses through late-stage development.

Commenting on the appointment, Sergio Traversa, Chief Executive Officer of Relmada Therapeutics, said Dalmia's deep understanding of the evolving NMIBC market and competitive landscape, along with his experience in helping bring the first FDA-approved intravesical gene therapy to bladder cancer patients, will be highly valuable. He added that Dalmia's expertise in corporate strategy, business development, and value creation will not only support the advancement of NDV-01 but also help the company identify opportunities to maximise long-term shareholder value.

Speaking about his new role, Dalmia said he was excited to join Relmada at such an important point in the company's growth. He explained that the opportunity to help unlock the full potential of NDV-01 was a key reason for joining the organisation. According to Dalmia, although the NMIBC treatment landscape is rapidly evolving, there remains a significant unmet need for patients, creating an opportunity for innovative therapies to improve treatment outcomes.

Dalmia also noted that NDV-01 has a differentiated product profile supported by encouraging clinical data generated so far. He believes the therapy has the potential to become a best-in-class intravesical treatment across the NMIBC disease spectrum. He added that he looks forward to working closely with the Relmada team to advance the next phase of the programme and, if successful, bring the therapy to patients as quickly as possible.

With Dalmia's appointment, Relmada continues to strengthen its leadership team as it prepares for the next stages of NDV-01's clinical and commercial development. His extensive experience in oncology, strategic planning, and business development is expected to play an important role in supporting the company's long-term growth strategy and bringing innovative treatment options to patients with bladder cancer.
