Schreiner MediPharm Unveils its Late-Stage Customization Service to speed up delivery

Schreiner MediPharm, a global provider of high-tech labels, introduces an efficient late-stage customisation service.

Schreiner MediPharm, a German company manufacturing high-tech labels for pharma companies across the globe, introduces late-stage customization services for its RFID- Labels, as reported. The new service accelerates its supply of intelligent labels with order-specific programming for its integrated RFID chips.

As the pharmaceutical industry evolves rapidly, flexibility and agility in the system are expected to provide the best possible security of supply and quality assurance. Demonstrating the company's proficiency in functional labeling, Schreiner MediPharm's latest offerings tackle these obstacles by expanding its late-stage customization capacities to its RFID labels and near-field communication (NFC) labels.

As per the new service process, the labels are pre-produced in bulk with integrated RFID inlays and stored in a warehouse as semi-finished goods. Upon receiving a customer’s request, these pre-produced labels are customized via digital printing and delivered immediately. In such a manner, the late-stage customization promotes the flexible production of sophisticated, intelligent labels while ensuring a fast response to customer inquiries.

In addition to the high levels of customization and shorter lead times, this new service offers other benefits, including a reduction in the process cost and the reliable performance of the integrated RFID chips, as the chips can be individually programmed when needed. Versions with pre-produced functional labels are available, such as detachable documentation labels, integrated hangers for infusion bottles, and incorporated functional varnishes and security features.

Pharmaceutical companies derive notable advantages in terms of heightened flexibility and enhanced cost efficiency due to the absence of mandatory minimum order quantities and the optimization of warehouse expenses. It is worth highlighting the distinctive design of RFID labels, engineered with a specialized structure to safeguard the sensitive chip, thereby guaranteeing optimal RFID performance throughout the production process to the final utilization phase.
