Serina Therapeutics Strengthens Board With Appointment Of Pharma Executive Farrell Simon

Serina Therapeutics, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on advancing its proprietary POZ Platform™ drug optimization technology, has announced the appointment of Dr. Farrell Simon, Pharm. D., to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. In addition to joining the Board, Dr. Simon will serve on the Company's Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.

The appointment adds significant commercial, strategic, as well as business development expertise to Serina's leadership team as the Company continues advancing its lead drug candidate, SER-252, while pursuing the broader development potential of its POZ Platform. According to the Company, Dr. Simon's experience in commercial operations, investor engagement, and corporate growth will support Serina's clinical and business objectives.

Steve Ledger, Chief Executive Officer of Serina Therapeutics, welcomed Dr. Simon to the Board, stating that he has played an important leadership role at Trevi Therapeutics during a period of significant growth in the company's enterprise value and capital raising activities. Ledger noted that Dr. Simon's background in commercial strategy, business development, and investor relations will be valuable as Serina advances the development of SER-252 and continues to expand the applications of its proprietary drug optimization platform.

Dr. Simon brings extensive experience across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and consumer healthcare industries, with expertise spanning commercial strategy, operations, product lifecycle management, and business development. He currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer at Trevi Therapeutics, Inc., where he is responsible for leading commercial strategy, pre-commercial planning, and lifecycle management activities. He also oversees business development initiatives, including potential strategic partnerships and merger and acquisition opportunities.

During his time at Trevi Therapeutics, Dr. Simon played an important role in strengthening the company's relationships with investors and supporting financing activities that raised more than $400 million from leading institutional investors, including Frazier, Vivo, Venrock, and Viking. His experience in capital markets and investor engagement is expected to support Serina as it continues to advance its development programs and evaluate future strategic opportunities.

Before joining Trevi Therapeutics, Dr. Simon spent approximately ten years at Pfizer, where he held several senior commercial and strategic leadership positions. His responsibilities included serving as Biopharma Chief of Staff as well as leading global commercial initiatives supporting both established pharmaceutical products and pipeline candidates. Throughout his career, he has gained broad experience in commercial planning, strategic execution, and organizational leadership across multiple therapeutic areas.

Dr. Simon earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida.
