Sterile Manufacturing Technical Workshop

Mar 11, 2026

Modern College, Pune

“From Textbook to Factory Floor” is a college workshop programme focused on pharmaceutical sterile manufacturing and microbiology practices. The workshop is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real pharmaceutical operations by helping students understand how concepts like cleanroom grades, sterilisation methods and sterility testing translate into real-world manufacturing environments. It is open to students from B.Pharm, M.Pharm, M.Sc Biotechnology and M.Sc Microbiology programmes and aims to provide practical exposure to pharmaceutical microbiology concepts that are typically studied in theory.

The workshop will take place at Modern College in Pune on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, running from 10 AM to 6 PM, with participation limited to 50 students. The programme includes sessions on sterile manufacturing fundamentals, cleanroom environments and filling line operations, followed by hands-on practical training such as gowning procedures, working with settle plates and contact plates, and interpreting environmental monitoring data. Participants also gain exposure to how sterile manufacturing facilities operate and receive a certificate along with a one-year complimentary Pharma Now student membership.
