Elutia Appoints Dr. Ryan Marques as New VP of Operations

Elutia Inc. has welcomed Dr. Ryan Marques as its new Vice President of Operations, a role in which he brings over 20 years of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. With a background in leading teams across manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and technical services, Dr. Marques is set to play a pivotal role in the company's future.

"We're excited to have Ryan join us at Elutia," said CEO Dr. Randy Mills. "At our company, culture is incredibly important, and Ryan’s experience, combined with his strong character, makes him a great fit for our team. His knowledge in both pharmaceuticals and medical devices will be invaluable as we prepare to launch EluPro, the world’s first FDA-cleared antibiotic-eluting BioEnvelope, later this year."

Before joining Elutia, Dr. Marques led U.S. Operations at Nobelpharma America, where he focused on treatments for rare and neglected diseases. His career also includes key roles at Next Breath Inc./Aptar Pharma and Canon BioMedical, where he honed his skills in operations and manufacturing. His journey in the industry began at QIAGEN, where he managed manufacturing and technical operations.

Dr. Marques holds a Ph.D. in molecular microbiology/immunology and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He also completed post-doctoral training at the University’s Center for Vaccine Development.

Elutia, headquartered in Silver Spring, Md., is dedicated to developing drug-eluting biomatrix products that improve the compatibility between medical devices and the patients who need them.
