Ogilvy Health Welcomes Sofia Beccarelli To Lead Asian Planning Operations

Ogilvy Health has strengthened its team at the Singapore office by appointing Sofia Beccarelli as the Associate Planning Director for the Asia-Pacific region. In this role, Beccarelli will support key clients with their marketing transformation efforts. Her responsibilities include driving the growth of Ogilvy Health’s client portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region and collaborating with in-market teams to enhance healthcare communications both strategically and creatively. Pierre Robinet, President of Ogilvy Health in the Asia-Pacific region, announced the appointment and emphasized its significance in a recent statement.

Robinet said, “In today's healthcare landscape, deep expertise across therapeutics areas and health marketing is critical for driving successful healthcare brand transformations. Sofia’s leadership and experience further strengthen our regional team.”

Beccarelli started her career at Publicis LifeBrands in London, where she advanced to the position of junior planner. She then progressed through the ranks at Langland, contributing to a Johnson & Johnson campaign that earned a Bronze Cannes Lion. In 2022, Beccarelli relocated to Singapore to take on the role of senior planner at Ward6, an independent creative healthcare agency. Her new position at Ogilvy Health will allow her to continue working in Singapore.

Ogilvy announced that Beccarelli’s appointment comes during a period of "significant momentum" for its business in the Asia-Pacific region. The agency credits this growth to its "acquisition of modern talent" and diversification of services over the past two years, emphasizing a focus on applied behavioral science, data, and technology to adapt to changes in the healthcare environment. This appointment follows several notable hires in Ogilvy’s U.S. operations, including Renata Maia as chief creative officer, Christianna Gorin as chief growth and strategy officer, and Nadine Lafond as client engagement officer.
