BC Platforms Appoints Mukhtar Ahmed as CEO to Drive Global Expansion

BC Platforms (BCP) has appointed Mukhtar Ahmed as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective February 17, 2025. With over 30 years of experience across life sciences, healthcare, and technology, Mukhtar has held leadership roles at Clarivate, Oracle, Bioclinica, Medidata, and Parexel, in addition to serving on the NHS board and various private equity-backed companies.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Mukhtar emphasized BCP’s global reach, advanced technology, and privacy-preserving data solutions as key strengths in real-world data (RWD) innovation. As CEO, he will drive strategic growth, expand partnerships, and enhance patient-centric research. BCP Chairperson Jan Berger highlighted Mukhtar’s leadership as pivotal in accelerating industry impact, while CFO and Interim CEO Kaj Työppönen will continue in a senior executive role.
