With a multi-year investment reaching 400 million euros ($437 million), Sanofi is reportedly planning to increase the number of employees at its global capacity centre in Hyderabad, India.

According to The Hindu, the investment will last until the end of the decade, with the first installment of 100 million euros ($109 million) arriving by the next year.

There are presently about 1,000 workers at the site, according to reports. According to The Deccan Herald, Madeleine Roach, executive vice president of business operations at Sanofi, stated during a press conference that the facility has the potential to grow to 2,600 employees over the course of the next two years, making it the largest of the company's four global capacity centres.

Bogota, Columbia; Hyderabad; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Budapest, Hungary are the locations of the company's four global capacity centres. Chief digital officer Emmanuel Frenehard stated that the corporation is "resetting the footprint" and stepping up its "value accretive activities" in India, as reported by the Financial Express. The expansion will make use of artificial intelligence techniques and enlarge the site's digital crew.
