Certara Appoints Adrian McKemey as President of Drug Development Solutions

Certara, a global leader in model-informed drug development, has appointed Adrian McKemey, Ph.D., as President of Drug Development Solutions, effective March 3, 2025. With over 25 years of experience in R&D strategy and business transformation, McKemey brings deep expertise in portfolio management and clinical development. Previously, he held leadership roles at IQVIA and Quintiles, focusing on enterprise transformation and strategic innovation. His appointment aligns with Certara’s mission to expand its biosimulation capabilities and scientific services, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating drug development.

As part of a planned leadership transition, Patrick Smith, PharmD., will continue as Senior Vice President of Translational Sciences, contributing to Certara’s growth in science and innovation. CEO William Feehery highlighted McKemey’s strategic vision, emphasizing the increasing role of biosimulation in de-risking clinical development. “Adrian’s leadership will further scale our capabilities to support the next generation of life-changing therapies,” said Feehery.
