Aenova Enhances Production With New Blister Line And Expanded Effervescent Packaging At Bad Aibling

Aenova operates as a global leader in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, contract development, and manufacturing, and it serves customers with about 4,000 employees across 14 facilities. The plant operated by Bad Aibling functions as the blister packaging / third-party packaging and high-volume effervescent product competence centre for the entire Aenova network, where 20 million euros worth of modern machinery investments have recently commenced. A second blister production line started its operation in February 2025.  

"With these major investments, we can offer significantly increased production capacity on state-of-the-art, high-speed equipment and position ourselves as a preferred and strategic partner for our customers," commented Thomas Lemke, Managing Director of the Aenova site in Bad Aibling. 

The third-party packaging sector now receives superior service from blister and packaging facilities that run at maximum line speeds, with annual production reaching 220 million units. At the beginning of the year, the organization implemented a new strip packaging line to produce effervescent products. The production capacity for effervescent products now includes two strip lines together with a tube line. 

The Bad Aibling facility has the capacity to annually manufacture and package more than 420 million effervescent tablets in its production operation. A new explosion-proof fluid bed granulator for organic granulation stands among upcoming business investments. The updated site infrastructure enables both rapid shipping times and future growth possibilities for the customer.
