Applied Therapeutics has appointed Dr. Todd F. Baumgartner as Chief Regulatory Officer, adding a seasoned leader with over 35 years of experience in drug development to its executive team. Dr. Baumgartner has successfully led 12 new drug applications to approval and will now oversee Applied’s global regulatory strategy, guiding its pipeline of rare disease treatments. His expertise will be instrumental as the company advances govorestat, a promising therapy aimed at addressing critical unmet medical needs.
Executive Chairman John H. Johnson expressed confidence in Baumgartner’s leadership, emphasizing his deep regulatory knowledge and proven track record. “Todd’s experience will be invaluable as we continue preparing for key regulatory discussions,” he stated.
