Baxter International has announced the upcoming U.S. launch of its Dynamo Series stretcher at the 2026 J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, marking the latest addition to its portfolio of smart beds and connected care solutions. Designed for emergency departments, perioperative areas, and patient transport, the Dynamo Series aims to reduce the physical and mental strain on care teams while improving the overall patient experience.
The new stretcher is built to simplify clinical workflows by minimizing the need to transfer patients between different surfaces. Integrated stirrups and flexible positioning options allow clinicians to perform a wide range of procedures directly on the stretcher, including obstetric and pelvic exams. Its fully electric design enables easier adjustments for height, head, and knees, and optional wireless connectivity allows select patient safety and clinical data to be shared with electronic medical records for remote monitoring.
“At Baxter, we are committed to driving focused innovation that empowers clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care in high-pressure environments,” said James Teaff, president of Care & Connectivity Solutions at Baxter. “The stretcher is a vital bridge between care teams and patients. We designed the Dynamo Series to strengthen these connections by addressing some of the toughest challenges care teams face,2 including reducing the need for patient transfers and simplifying patient positioning across a range of procedures.”
To address the high incidence of in-hospital falls, the Dynamo Series incorporates advanced safety technologies that help staff identify risks and respond quickly. These include Baxter’s SafeView+ visual safety system, a three-mode bed exit alarm with real-time alerts, and auto-rearm functionality. Optional system integration can also connect the stretcher to nurse call and hospital communication platforms, ensuring care teams are always informed.
Patient safety and comfort are further enhanced through one of the widest care surfaces in the stretcher category, making transfers safer and more comfortable for patients of different sizes. Additional features, such as one-touch positioning, conversion to a chair-like setup, and built-in USB charging, provide patients with greater convenience and independence. The Dynamo Series is now available for order in the U.S. and is expected to be released in the first half of 2026.
