BioNTech SE announced that its Supervisory Board has appointed Kylie Jimenez to the Management Board as Chief People Officer, effective March 1, 2026. This newly created role supports BioNTech’s broader strategy to evolve into a multi-product oncology company by 2030 and reflects the Company’s focus on building and sustaining a strong, globally skilled workforce. In her new position, Kylie Jimenez will guide BioNTech’s people strategy and oversee its implementation across the organization. Her responsibilities will include strengthening the Company’s ability to attract, grow, and retain talent, while continuing to build an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture. She will be based at BioNTech’s headquarters in Mainz, Germany.
Kylie Jimenez joins BioNTech with more than 20 years of global HR leadership experience and a strong track record of supporting companies through periods of growth and organizational transformation. She comes from the international manufacturing group Georg Fischer, where she currently serves as the global Chief Human Resources Officer. Her earlier career includes senior HR roles at Toyota, along with HR specialist positions at Johnson & Johnson and General Mills. Over the years, she has led major transformation programs for multinational organizations, aligning global strategies with regional needs. Her work has included transitioning businesses from country-specific setups to a centralized operating model across more than 40 countries, as well as designing and rolling out new HR systems that foster improved performance, inclusion, and agility across teams.
Helmut Jeggle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said that the Company is pleased to welcome Kylie Jimenez to its Management Board. He noted that her extensive experience in international human resources and organizational leadership will support BioNTech as it enters an important phase of its development. He added that her appointment highlights the significance of having a strong global people strategy that is effectively executed at the local level, helping BioNTech advance its long-term goals and create value for employees, shareholders, and patients.

Kylie Jimenez holds citizenship in Canada, Spain, and Australia, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
