GE HealthCare to Unveil Over 40 AI-Powered Innovations at RSNA 2024

GE Healthcare is gearing up to present over 40 new innovative solutions at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting on November 1-4, 2024, in Chicago. Among these are technologies with artificial intelligence to improve patient care and other related matters, as well as reducing costs through improving health system operational efficiency. These advancements are in line with GE HealthCare’s vision of incorporating AI across its medical portfolio and creating smart solutions that are integrated into GE HealthCare’s medical devices to complement care journeys.

The company is now keen on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in its operations especially to enhance decision-making and provide accuracy in the delivery of care especially to outpatients with different diseases. As reported in the recent study conducted by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), more than half of the radiology workers are suffering from emotional burnout and have been complaining of lack of acknowledgment from the service receivers, GE HealthCare offers its solution to relieve these pressures. Through increasing data integration and workflow, it aims at helping the company and the radiologists make them be more effective in diagnosing patients.

Peter Arduini, the Chief Executive Officer of GE HealthCare, highlighted the increasing complexity and how companies must help radiologists meet challenges. Radiologists are the cornerstones of the healthcare imaging and diagnosis process, but they are currently facing more issues, Arduini acknowledged. Their mission is to create technologies that would be significant to their core concerns. Thus, through the usage of AI and digital tools, our goal is to provide patients with a more intimate, accurate, and compassionate experience throughout the entirpathway—– from receiving a diagnosis to getting better. These innovations that will be launched at RSNA further affirm GE HealthCare’s readiness to transform radiology and the overall healthcare sector.
