Irrimax Launches Innovative Kits to Expand IRRISEPT Use in Wound Care

Irrimax Corporation, a global leader in medical devices and the manufacturer behind the widely recognized IRRISEPT® antimicrobial wound lavage product, is taking significant strides in healthcare innovation. The company has announced the launch of new products and accessories designed to extend the use of its proprietary Irrisept solution with powered irrigation devices. This expansion aligns with Irrimax's ongoing mission to reduce infections, lower healthcare costs, and enhance patient outcomes.

The newly introduced IRRISEPT Wound Solution Kit is part of this initiative. "Our commitment to addressing customer needs is central to our customer-centric strategy," said Michael Gil, President and Chief Operating Officer of Irrimax. "Irrisept is already a standard of care in hospitals worldwide, but we've listened to our customers who expressed a need for greater flexibility in how and when they can use Irrisept, particularly in minimally invasive procedures. These new products are a direct response to that demand, and we're excited to bring these innovations to the market."

As part of a broader strategy to expand its product portfolio, Irrimax has initiated a two-phase innovation pipeline, aiming to introduce five new products over two years. The first phase focused on enhancing the IRRISEPT Antimicrobial Wound Lavage product for use across various healthcare settings, from pre-hospital to acute and post-acute care. In the second phase, the company has launched two new kits: the 'IRRISEPT Accessory Kit' and the 'IRRISEPT Wound Solution Kit.' These kits are designed to be compatible with the original IRRISEPT product, offering clinicians the option to use manual compression for irrigation or to connect the solution to powered irrigation systems, including suction irrigation, pulse lavage, and negative pressure wound therapy.

Currently available in the US, these new kits are part of Irrimax's efforts to expand its offerings globally, with additional products and innovations in the pipeline. The company's focus on meeting healthcare market demands continues to drive its product development and global expansion strategies.
