Top 10 Pharma Companies in Ghaziabad to Know in 2026
Pharma Companies in Ghaziabad lists four verified manufacturers and research firms, plus the IPC and CDSCO North Zone, with checks for sourcing and regulatory teams.

Ghaziabad hosts the body that writes India's drug standards and the central regulator's North Zone office, alongside formulation plants, a vaccine maker and a preclinical research organization. Every entry below is checked against a primary source.
Why Ghaziabad matters to pharma regulation
For quality and regulatory teams, Ghaziabad matters less for its number of plants than for who sits here. Two national bodies that shape how medicines are made and checked in India work from this city in Uttar Pradesh, on the eastern edge of Delhi.
The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an autonomous institution under India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, works from Sector 23, Raj Nagar. It publishes the Indian Pharmacopoeia, the country's official book of drug standards under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. On 2 January 2026 it released the 10th edition, IP 2026, which carries 3,340 monographs, 121 of them new. Any quality control (QC) laboratory testing to IP methods is working to text drafted in Ghaziabad. For more, see our regulatory intelligence coverage.
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), India's national drug regulator, has run its North Zone office from Ghaziabad since 1967. According to CDSCO's North Zone disclosure dated 23 July 2026, the office covers Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) districts of Haryana. Its drugs inspectors carry out joint licensing inspections, risk-based inspections and drug sampling across that territory.
The verified manufacturing base is small and concentrated. Three of the manufacturers below sit on the Meerut Road Industrial Area, the vaccine maker is on Bulandshahr Road, and the research organization is in Sahibabad Industrial Area, Site IV.
How this list was built
Each company appears because a company filing, the company's own website or a regulator's document places a manufacturing or research operation in Ghaziabad district. Franchise marketers, distributors and online pharmacies are not listed. Inclusion is editorial and never paid. For the national picture, see our guide to pharma companies in India and India's 20 largest pharmaceutical companies.
Pharma companies in Ghaziabad
The five companies below are listed alphabetically, not ranked. They are a mid-sized formulator, a vaccine maker, a preclinical research organization, a Unani medicine maker run as a trust, and a listed generics exporter. No single measure, market capitalization included, compares them fairly.
1. Albert David Limited

Est.: 1938, Kolkata
Headquarters: Gillander House, 8 Netaji Subhas Road, Kolkata
Ghaziabad operation: Factory at B-12/13, Meerut Road Industrial Area, Ghaziabad 201003
Listed: NSE (ALBERTDAVD), BSE (524075) · Kothari Group
Revenue from operations, FY26 (April 2025–March 2026): ₹33,359.81 lakh (standalone, audited)
Albert David is a Kolkata company in the Kothari Group. Its letterhead, used on its 14 February 2025 NSE filing, describes it as a maker of allopathic and herbal formulations, intravenous (IV) infusions and medical disposables, and names two factories: Kolkata and Ghaziabad.
Ghaziabad is one of only two plants in the company's FY2024-25 annual report. Some third-party listings still show a third plant at Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh; the company's own plant list does not. For anyone qualifying suppliers from aggregator data, that gap is the lesson. Company documents do not say which product lines the Ghaziabad unit makes.
The year to March 2026 was difficult. Audited standalone results filed on 13 May 2026 show revenue from operations of ₹33,359.81 lakh, against ₹34,576.79 lakh in FY25, and a net loss of ₹149.47 lakh. Profit before tax was ₹52.49 lakh. The filing does not explain the decline.
2. Bio-Med Private Limited

Est.: 1972, Ghaziabad (company profile)
Ghaziabad operation: Vaccine manufacturing unit at C-96, Site I, Bulandshahr Road Industrial Area, Ghaziabad 201009
Type: Human and veterinary vaccines
Listed: Not listed
Bio-Med is the only vaccine maker in this guide, and the only entry confirmed by the central regulator's own inspection planning. CDSCO's risk-based central inspection plans for vaccine units, for 2018 and 2023, list the Bulandshahr Road site with oral polio vaccine, Vi polysaccharide and Vi conjugate typhoid vaccines, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) conjugate vaccine, meningococcal polysaccharide vaccines and veterinary vaccines.
By the company's own account in a 2015 directory profile, its foundation stone was laid on 11 May 1972, it began animal vaccine research in 1973, and it started human vaccines with oral polio vaccine in 1995. That profile is company-supplied and over a decade old.
Being on CDSCO's inspection plan means the site is scheduled for central inspection; it is not an inspection outcome. Buyers and tender teams should ask for the latest inspection report and lot-release record, not the plan. (Inference.)
3. Dabur Research Foundation

Est.: 1979, as Dabur India's research arm
Headquarters and Ghaziabad operation: 22, Site IV, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad 201010
Type: Preclinical contract research organization (CRO), operating independently since 2008
Facility (company figures): 75,000 sq ft research facility, including a 30,000 sq ft small-animal facility with 43 experimental rooms
Dabur Research Foundation (DRF) began in 1979 as the research and development arm of Dabur India and has run as an independent preclinical service provider since 2008, according to its About page. It is the only research organization in this guide.
DRF runs in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo pharmacology, regulatory toxicology, and drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) studies, including work to support an Investigational New Drug (IND) application. Its discovery work spans oncology, metabolic disorders, neurology, dermatology and anti-infective testing. Its history page states that in 2024 it registered its test facility with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under Facility Establishment Identifier (FEI) 3006607414.
Sponsors placing regulatory studies should ask for DRF's current certificate from India's National GLP Compliance Monitoring Authority (NGCMA), which certifies Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) test facilities, and check its scope against the study type.
DRF shares Plot 22, Site IV with the Dabur Research & Development Centre listed on Dabur's contact page. The two are separate operations.
4. Hamdard Laboratories (India)

Est.: 1906, Delhi, as the Unani clinic Hamdard Dawakhana
Headquarters: Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi
Ghaziabad operation: Manufacturing unit at B-1, B-2/III, Industrial Area, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad 201003
Structure: Waqf (charitable trust); not listed
Known brands: Safi, Cinkara, Roghan Badam Shirin; Rooh Afza (food)
Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed founded Hamdard in Delhi in 1906, and the company later became a waqf, a trust dedicated to health and education, according to its own history. Its core business is Unani medicine. In India, Unani medicines are regulated under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and good manufacturing practice for Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani (ASU) drugs is set out in Schedule T of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945.
Hamdard's presence page lists the Ghaziabad unit alongside units at IMT Manesar (Haryana) and Shendra MIDC, Aurangabad (Maharashtra), and an upcoming factory at Jhajjar (Haryana). Retail listings for Safi, one of its Unani formulations, name Hamdard Laboratories (India) at the Meerut Road address as manufacturer.
For suppliers and auditors, the practical point is that ASU manufacturing runs under a separate GMP schedule from allopathic plants. Expect different documentation when qualifying a Unani site.
5. Unichem Laboratories Ltd

Est.: 1944, Mumbai (incorporated 1962)
Headquarters: 47, Kandivli Industrial Estate, Kandivli (West), Mumbai
Ghaziabad operation: Formulation plant at C31-32, Industrial Area, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad 201003
Listed: NSE (UNICHEMLAB), BSE (506690) · Subsidiary of Ipca Laboratories (52.67% as of the FY25 annual report)
Revenue from operations, FY26 (April 2025–March 2026): ₹2,201.85 crore (consolidated, audited)
Amrut Mody founded Unichem in 1944, and it listed after a 1963 initial public offering, as Ipca Laboratories set out in its 24 April 2023 NSE disclosure. That disclosure announced Ipca's purchase of a 33.38% stake from a promoter shareholder at ₹440 a share, about ₹1,034.06 crore, plus an open offer. By the FY2024-25 annual report, Ipca held 52.67% and was the holding company.
Unichem is now almost entirely an exporter: exports were 98.02% of sales in FY25, with the United States and Europe as major markets. Ghaziabad is one of three formulation plants, with Goa and Baddi (Himachal Pradesh); active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are made at Roha, Kolhapur (both Maharashtra) and Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh), according to its manufacturing sites and contact pages. A March 2023 ICRA rating rationale described the Ghaziabad unit as recently launched and underutilized at the time.
Read the FY26 profit with care. Results filed on 22 May 2026 show consolidated profit after tax of ₹252.84 crore, but that includes an exceptional net gain of ₹275.52 crore from selling the land and building of the former registered office. The operating business did not produce that profit on its own.
Nearby: five more operations around Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad's pharma activity does not stop at the district boundary. Five more operations sit in and around it: a government vaccine plant, a drug discovery organization and three manufacturers. Dabur India is in Ghaziabad itself; the others are in Bulandshahr, Faridabad, Meerut and Noida. Each is confirmed by a filing, its own site or a regulator's document.
6. Bharat Immunologicals and Biologicals Corporation (BIBCOL)

Location: Oral polio vaccine (OPV) plant, Village Chola, Bulandshahr 203203 (Bulandshahr district)
Type: Vaccines · Government of India undertaking
Why it is not in the main list: Bulandshahr district, not Ghaziabad
The Department of Biotechnology's institution listing describes BIBCOL as "a Government of India Undertaking" and gives its OPV plant address at Village Chola. CDSCO's 2023 inspection plan for vaccine units lists the company with oral polio vaccine IP. The plan's listing gives no outcome; it schedules the site for central inspection.
7. Brawn Laboratories Limited

Location: 13 NIT Industrial Area, Faridabad, Haryana 121001 (Faridabad district, National Capital Region)
Type: Formulations
Why it is not in the main list: Haryana, not Ghaziabad
Ghana's Food and Drugs Authority lists the plant among licensed foreign manufacturers (list dated 30 June 2025), under GMP certificate FDA/GMP/017/05/23, valid to 30 November 2027. The certificate covers tablets and capsules, dry powders, external preparations, injectables, ophthalmic preparations, and ear and nasal drops. A foreign regulator's licence is a useful export credential, but it says nothing about the site's Indian or U.S. inspection record. (Inference.)
8. Dabur India Limited

Dabur India is the listed Ayurvedic and consumer health company that set up Dabur Research Foundation (No. 3 on this list) as its research arm in 1979. The foundation has run as an independent preclinical CRO since 2008, so the two appear separately in this list: No. 3 covers the contract research business, and this entry covers Dabur India's own offices, plants and research centre in Ghaziabad.
Ghaziabad presence: Corporate office at Kaushambi; Sahibabad Units I and II (Plot 22, Site IV) and Unit III (5/1, Site IV); Dabur Research & Development Centre (Plot 22, Site IV)
Type: Ayurvedic and natural health care
Why it is not in the main list: no company document opened shows that the Sahibabad units make medicines rather than consumer products
Dabur's contact page lists all five Ghaziabad addresses, and its 2023-24 annual report counts Sahibabad among its 13 manufacturing plants in India, without saying what the plant makes. Dabur describes itself as an Ayurvedic and natural health care company. Its Research & Development Centre shares Plot 22 with the Dabur Research Foundation (card 3) but is a separate operation. If a plant licence or filing confirms Ayurvedic medicine manufacture at Sahibabad, Dabur moves into the main list.
9. Daffodills Pharmaceuticals Limited

Location: Jawahar Nagar, Rohta Road, Meerut 250001 (Meerut district)
Type: Formulations
Why it is not in the main list: Meerut district, not Ghaziabad
Ghana's Food and Drugs Authority lists the Meerut plant under GMP certificate FDA/GMP/003/03/24, valid to 31 May 2028. The certificate covers oral tablets and capsules, oral liquids, external preparations, powder for injection and small-volume parenterals. It is the only Uttar Pradesh site on that list.
10. Jubilant Biosys (Noida and Greater Noida)

Location: D-12, Sector 59, Noida, plus a Greater Noida site commissioned in September 2021 (Gautam Buddh Nagar district)
Type: Drug discovery CRO · subsidiary of Jubilant Pharmova
Why it is not in the main list: Gautam Buddh Nagar district, not Ghaziabad
Jubilant Pharmova's locations page lists the Noida address, and its November 2022 investor presentation describes chemistry and analytical services, new chemical entity (NCE) scale-up and GMP manufacture of Phase 1 material at both sites, with an approved expansion at Greater Noida to add chemistry and DMPK services. Its Bengaluru discovery centre is covered in our Bangalore guide. The 2022 deck is the latest site description found.
Who checks their work
The five Ghaziabad operations in the main list are only half of the district's pharma story. The other half is who checks their work. The standards a quality control laboratory tests against, and the central inspectors who join licensing inspections for vaccines, biologicals and large-volume parenterals, come from two national bodies based in the same district.
For a unit such as Bio-Med's vaccine plant or Albert David's IV-infusion factory, both bodies are part of the regulatory file. Any product tested to an Indian Pharmacopoeia monograph is tested to text drafted by the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission in Raj Nagar, and CDSCO's North Zone office joins licensing inspections across Uttar Pradesh. The next section sets out what each body does.
Regulators and standards bodies in Ghaziabad
Neither body is a company, so neither counts toward the five entries above. Both publish primary documents that a sourcing or quality reader can cite directly.
Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC)

Status: Autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, fully operational since 1 January 2009
Address: Sector 23, Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad 201002
IPC publishes the Indian Pharmacopoeia and the National Formulary of India, supplies IP reference substances, and serves as the National Coordination Centre for the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) and the Materiovigilance Programme of India (MvPI), as stated in its 2026 recruitment notice and on IP Online.
The 10th edition, IP 2026, released on 2 January 2026, holds 3,340 monographs, including 121 new ones. IPC also publishes amendment lists to IP 2026 and opens draft revisions for stakeholder comment. That comment window is the practical point at which QC and regulatory teams can influence a monograph before it binds them.
CDSCO North Zone office

Status: Zonal office of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, in Ghaziabad since 1967
Address: Room 115–119, CGO Complex-I, Hapur Road, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad 201002
Jurisdiction (as of 23 July 2026): Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and the NCR districts of Haryana
The office opened in 1967 at Navyug Market, Ghaziabad, and was upgraded in 1979, according to CDSCO's North Zone disclosure dated 23 July 2026. Its work includes joint inspections for manufacturing licences, including large-volume parenteral (LVP) units; risk-based inspections; inspections of Class C and D medical device sites and of clinical trial and bioavailability/bioequivalence (BA/BE) centres; drug sampling; and Written Confirmations for API exports to the European Union.
The same disclosure records a sub-zonal office for Uttarakhand, set up at Rishikesh in September 2023 and later moved to Dehradun. CDSCO's older North Zone web page still lists Uttarakhand under Ghaziabad; the July 2026 disclosure is the more recent statement.
What this means for sourcing and regulatory teams
Ghaziabad's pharma profile is narrow but consequential. Its verifiable base is five operations: a mid-sized infusions and formulations maker, a vaccine maker, a preclinical CRO, a Unani medicine unit and an export generics plant. Its regulatory weight is national, because the Indian Pharmacopoeia and the North Zone's inspection programme both originate here.
Two practical lessons follow. First, aggregator lists for this city are a weak starting point for supplier qualification. Albert David's plant list alone differs between third-party data and the company's own annual report, so start from filings and licences. Second, regulatory status is time-bound. A GLP certificate, a zonal jurisdiction or a pharmacopoeial edition can change within a year, and any audit or vendor file that cites one should record the date it was checked.
This guide will grow only as fast as entries can be confirmed. Companies with a manufacturing, research or regulatory-services operation in Ghaziabad district can ask to be considered through the contact page.
