Chris Boshoff to Lead Pfizer R&D as Chief Scientific Officer in 2025
Pfizer appoints Dr. Chris Boshoff as Chief Scientific Officer, succeeding Mikael Dolsten in January 2025.
Pfizer Inc. has announced that Chris Boshoff, M.D., Ph.D., will become Chief Scientific Officer and President of Research & Development, effective January 1, 2025, succeeding Mikael Dolsten. Dr. Boshoff brings over a decade of leadership at Pfizer, with a track record of delivering 24 approved medicines in over 30 indications. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla praised Dr. Boshoff’s vision and contributions, particularly in oncology.
Roger Dansey, currently Chief Development Officer, Oncology, will serve as Interim Chief Oncology Officer during the transition. Dr. Johanna Bendell will join Pfizer in 2025 as Chief Development Officer, Oncology.
